WBB received a grant from the World Health Organization's Channeling the Outrage program to increase the involvement of journalists in activities focused on the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC).  WBB held a series of six workshops on different topics related to this global public health treaty, which led to a huge increase in newspaper coverage on the topic.

WBB continues to meet regularly with journalists and to provide them with information on the FCTC.  Our media monitoring shows that tobacco control, and the need for the FCTC, continue to be common subjects in the newspapers.
