1st National Workshop on Tobacco Control
|
In order to strengthen advocacy efforts for tobacco control throughout
Bangladesh, WBB and the
Bangladesh Anti-Tobacco Alliance jointly organized the First National
Workshop on Tobacco Control, 3-4 April 2003.
The workshop brought together 130 participants from 90
organizations throughout Bangladesh, for training on work with media,
advocacy, research, networking, creating smoke-free places, and
recruiting doctors to tobacco control.
Jointly funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA),
the World Health Organization (WHO), and PATH Canada, the workshop was a
huge success.
For more information about the workshop, please see our
report.
