Every Educational Institution Must Have Playground: Expert Opinion from Chittagong Divisional Workshop on NCD and Tobacco Control.

Unhealthy food habit, idleness, smoking and tobacco consumption, drug addiction etc is instigating cancer, heart diseases, high blood pressure, asthma, diabetes and other non-communicable diseases. It is very essential to aware children about disease prevention from their childhood. For this it is essential to ensure play ground at every educational institution. Leaders, who participated at Divisional workshop on 6th June 2015, at HRDC center of Work for a Better Bangladesh Trust, expressed the above mentioned thought.

Dr. Shuvagoto Chowdhury, Director of BIRDEM hospital and non-communicable disease expert; Abu Naser Khan, Chairman Poribesh Bachao Andolon (POBA) and well known environmentalist; Mahbubur Rahman, General Manager, Paribahan Pool, Dhaka North City Corporation; Shahnaj Samad, Deputy-Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare; Debra Efroymson, Regional Director, HealthBridge; Advocate Syed Mahbubul Alam, Technical Consultant, The Union and Saifuddin Ahmed, Executive Director, Work for a Better Bangladesh Trust were present as the guest. Aminul Islam Sujon, Executive Editor, Samaswar, (newsletter of Bangladesh Anti Tobacco Association)  and Syeda Anonna Rahman, National Advocacy Officer, Work for a Better Bangladesh Trust were the moderator of the workshop.
