Disease Prevention Should Be Prioritized For Sustainable Development Expert Opinion from Daylong Workshop

Unhealthy food habit, idleness, smoking and tobacco consumption, drug addiction etc is instigating cancer, heart diseases, high blood pressure, asthma, diabetes and other non-communicable diseases. It is very essential to aware children about disease prevention from their childhood. For this it is essential to ensure play ground at every educational institution. Leaders, who participated at Divisional workshop on 10th June 2015, at HRDC center of Work for a Better Bangladesh Trust, expressed the above mentioned thought.

Speakers, who participated a daylong workshop on ‘Non-communicable disease and Tobacco Control’ at Koiborto Conference room of Work for a Better Bangladesh Trust, expressed the above mentioned view. Advocate Fazilatunnesa Bappi, Member of Parliament, was the chief guest of the program. Saifuddin Ahmed, coordinator, Bangladesh Anti Tobacco Association (BATA), chaired the program. Abu Naser Khan, well known environmentalist and Chairman of Poribesh Bachao Andolon and Advocate Syed Mahbubul Alam, Technical Consultant, The Union were the speakers of the program.  The workshop was moderated by Aminul Islam Sujon, Executive Editor, Samaswar (newsletter of BATA).
