All Family Members Should Have Role In Women’s House hold Work

Woman work on household chores, housekeeping, taking care of child, helps study, regular shopping, cleaning cloths including various task. Although there is a common notion in society that general women do nothing. There is another concept with this that only women will do all task in house. To change this notion two documentary were presented on “Ami kichui korina” and Ek shonge kaj kori shukhi poribar gori”

On 5th December at 11.00AM Work for a Better Bangladesh (WBB) Trust and ASA University Bangladesh (ASAUB) have jointly arranged a seminar and two documentary exhibition on “Ami kichui Korina” and “Ek shonge Kaj Kori Shukhi Poribar Gori” which has been exhibited at ASA university seminar room and Advisor Professor, Mainuddin Khan gives inaugural statement. Debra Efroymson, Regional Director of Heath Bridge gives main speech. The program was hosted by Tanzila Chowdhury, Assistant Advocacy Officer, WBB Trust and Jishan Mahmud, Student ASA University Bangladesh.

Among others Naznin Kabir, Deputy Program Officer, WBB Trust, Prof. Dr. Abu Daud Hassan, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Science, ASAUB and Prof. S Aminul Islam, Chairman, Applied Socialogy Department ASAUB gave their speech.

Prof. Mainuddin Khan said, women are not respected in home equally like the women Works in work sector, in economy women are a big power so we should recognize all of their works. Naznin Kabir said, generally a man work in their office for eigth hours whether a woman work in home for more than eighteen hours so we should value them by respect not money. Prof. Dr Abu Daud Hassan said, recognition of womens work in house hold is their rights we have to give them their rights. There is no single house where women is not main driving source. Debra Efroymson, Regional Director of Heath Bridge said, in the world child is the most important think to us. Caring for child to caring for elderly almost everything is done by women in home. After all this happen when anybody asks those child or husbands about their women job they say she does not do anything. We have to change this stance.

The program was chaired by the Advisor Prof. Mainuddin Khan, ASAUB and also present Naima Akter, Assistant Advocacy Officer, WBB Trust, Alvi Ahmed Orko, Intern, Institute of Well being and the teachers and students of ASAUB.
