Preventive system needs to strengthen for controlling child cancer

Cancer is identified as a silent killer of children. 90 percent of all children suffering from cancer in the world are poor and live in developing countries. Apart from genetic cancer, children are affected by having unhealthy food and breathing in polluted air. Harmful chemicals in various foods, fruits and water and airborne virus paved the way of cancer. So we have to take steps to prevent cancer. Cancer prevention is effective and affordable solutions. The opinion came out in a human chain program held at National Press Club on 15th February 2016 to observe World Child Cancer Day.

To create awareness about the prevention of child cancer, Himu Paribahan, Green mind Society, Prottyasha anti-drugs club, Gram Unnayan Sangstha, Arunodoyer Torun Dol and WBB Trust jointly organized the program. The program was moderated by Abu Rayhan, Assistant Project Officer and speeches given by Helal Ahmed, General Secretary, Prottyasha anti-drugs club; Syeda Anonna  Rahaman, Program Manager, WBB Trust; AKM Khalilullah, Project Coordinator, NATAB; Sultana Razia, ED, LRB Foundation; Umme Salma, ED, Swapner Siri Social Welfare Organization; Ahsan Habib Murad, Coordinator, Himu Paribahan and more.
