Summary Report of Reclaiming Small Scale Public Space in Dhaka
Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh with more than 18 million citizens has only 79 parks and playgrounds which are not safe, accessible and inclusive. Those parks are also not used by all due to lack of proper facilities and options for different age groups. Community people usually do not get opportunities to participate in the conventional development process.

As a result, their necessities remain mostly unfulfilled and management gets also hard. Considering these, Work for a Better Bangladesh (WBB) Trust in collaboration with UN-Habitat and Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), city authority of Dhaka improved 5 small scale open public spaces in Mirpur area of Dhaka. Mirpur area lacks ample quality spaces for women, children and elderly people. This initiative aims to benefit thousands of people. Download the summary report of the project
