A non-communicable disease is one of the leading causes of preventable death in the world. Every year about 36 million people are dying worldwide due to non-communicable diseases, of which 29 million is in middle-income countries. Unhealthy food habits, lack of adequate physical activity, obesity, uncontrolled alcohol and tobacco consumption and environmental pollution are the leading cause of non-communicable diseases.
