Special Plan and Monitoring Sytem is Necessary During Eid Oriented Journey

Every year we can see a haphazard situation in the Eid oriented journey. People have to suffer a lot and many accidents occur. In last Eid-ul-Fitr, at least 300 people died country wide. Hundreds of people have been injured. The situation is really alarming. A proper plan and monitoring system is necessary to stop the accident during Eid oriented journey. Speakers expressed the above view at a discussion meeting on 9th September 2015, 11 am at the office of Poribesh Bachao Andolon (POBA), jointly organized by Poribesh Bachao Andolon (POBA) and Work for a Better Bangladesh Trust.

Speakers said that, ignorance in rail and water sector, excessive dependence on roads, defected infrastructure and vehicles, unskilled and unlicensed drivers, excessive speed in highway, ignoring signals, non-enforcement of laws, lack of awareness among authority and people and lack of proper plan and monitoring system are increasing the number of accidents. So a proper plan and integrated initiative is necessary to adopt in this regard.
